Emily Haymond, MS, RDN
Hello! I am a registered dietitian nutritionist based in the Seattle area and generally work in healthy aging. I truly believe in the healing power of food and using food as medicine. My “superpower” when it comes to nutrition is helping clients make sense of the science behind nutrition recommendations.
My approach to nutrition is very food focused – after all we don’t eat specific nutrients, we eat foods that contain the nutrients we need. I find that most people know what they “should” eat but that the day-to-day application of this is the challenge. I enjoy helping clients form healthful, sustainable habits to help them improve their health.
Aside from nutrition, I love all things outdoorsy – running, hiking, biking etc. I also love traveling and exploring other cultures through food. My fiancé and I are busy planning our wedding and our honeymoon where we plan to eat our way through Italy and Greece!

I am a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified chef based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am passionate about working with others to make dietary changes that support healthy sustainable change. My “superpowers” when it comes to nutrition are recipe and menu development and being a support system for helping others to make changes that stick.
My approach to nutrition is that food is at the center. I believe in honoring the food and culture we grew up with and making modifications that help us to live our best lives with our best health. I find most people know what they think they should eat, but the application becomes the challenge. Working with others and helping them to implement a newly diagnosed diet, helping people get creative in the kitchen, and working with kids on healthy cooking are some of my favorite areas of practice.
Aside from nutrition, I am an avid power-walker, traveler, and reader/ Libby listener (Emily and I are tackling the “Rory Gilmore Booklist” along with our own book lists). I am the chief lunch packer and fur baby mama at my house. My husband is also a chef so the food game is strong in our house.
